DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 400.Line baking sheets with parchment paper.I did not line my paper–I used butter wrappers to grease baking sheets instead.
With an electric mixer, beat 1 1/2 cups of the white sugar, butter, vanilla, and eggs.
Blend in the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, salt, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.Stir in cinnamon chips.Shape dough into 1 inch balls.
In a small bowl, combine 3 tablespoons sugar and a teaspoon of ground cinnamon.Roll dough in cinnamon and sugar mixture and place 2 inches apart on prepared baking sheets.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until set.Immediately remove from cookie sheets to wire racks to cool completely.
