Where can you buy Cheese Easter Eggs?

If you camembert (sorry!) chocolate eggs, Cheese Easter eggs are a Gouda alternative for those who find themselves reaching for the savoury snacks rather than sweet.

Accompanied by crackers and chutney, you have the cheese-lovers paradise Wallace and Grommit could only dream of.

There are a variety of eggs-citing cheese Easter eggs available this year – here’s where to find them.

Butlers’ Blacksticks Blue Easter egg available online from Ocado, Amazon and Butlers Cheeses’ online store and in-store at Booths and Spar for £5

Butlers’ Cheesalicious Easter egg available from Sainsbury’s and Asda for £5

Emma Garvey, Cheese Buyer for Sainsbury’s, said of the Cheesalicious Easter egg: “We’re always looking for new and unique products to offer to our customers, especially during gifting periods throughout the year when people are on the lookout for something special to give their loved ones.

“The Cheesalicious Easter Egg seemed like an obvious and exciting choice to expand our Easter egg offering and cater to cheese aficionados nationwide.

“The egg is truly delicious and we can’t wait to see the response from our customers.”

Wyke Farms have a Somerset Cheddar 250g Cheaster Egg on offer for £15, which is available from Wyke Farms’ online shop now.

The Cheddar at Wyke Farms is still aged in wooden maturing boxes and constantly monitored by their Master Cheese Grader to ensure a delicious taste and guaranteed quality.

Are there other alternatives to chocolate Easter eggs?

You won’t brie-lieve some of the other options to the typical Easter egg available from retailers this year.

These include a Marmite chocolate egg, dubbed “the one and only yeaster egg”, which is available from Asda for £4.

Or if you would like to stay away from eggs entirely, Doughnut Time has launched a host of Easter themed doughnuts.

There are six doughnuts topped with Easter eggs and Easter chocolate treats, including two vegan options.

There are also other vegan alternatives – with Holland and Barratt offering a whole host of vegan Easter treats.

One option is the Moo Free Sea Salt & Caramel Egg, 160g, for £4.99.

Another is the Montezuma Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Eggs, 150g for £3.99.

And finally, the So Free White Chocolate Alternative Egg, 100g for £2.99.

Have an eggcellent Easter!
