It’s finally summer, which means fresh berries are at peak ripeness (perfect for those warm-weather desserts) and sipping rosé by the pool is now a standard weekend activity. We thought summer couldn’t possibly get any better, but Driscoll’s, the popular berry brand, has just created the ultimate summer flavor mashup and proved us all wrong.
Thanks to Driscoll’s, you can now find Rosé Strawberries and Raspberries in the produce aisle. Yep, you heard us right. These blush-colored, non-GMO berries are extra sweet and ready for enjoying poolside, starting today in select food retailers nationwide. But they’re only sticking around until September, so you need to snag them while you can!
The creamy, silky Rosé Strawberries have a sweet, peachy flavor with a floral finish, while the Rosé Raspberries are a sweeter, golden-red raspberry hybrid. And to be clear, neither of these fruits contain alcohol (they just mimic the sweet, floral flavors of rosé wine).
According to a press release, the berries are only in stores from June to September due to the special attention and nurturing required to produce these unique, high-quality fruits. We just know they would make our Rosé-Poached Berries and Rosé-Glazed Strawberry Tart taste even more amazing!
