It might take a gun to their head, but even the most die-hard Dunkin’ loyalist from the most remote regions of New England would confess that the chain’s coffee probably isn’t the best stuff in the world. Dunkin’ has effectively admitted as much with their $60 million investment in new equipment that they hope leads to a better brew. But what if there was a way to have Dunkin’s coffee without having to actually drink it?

Well my friends, there is: the Dunkin’ Coffee Bar.

Spotted by @WholeCoffeeCo, Dunkin’ quietly rolled out a line of four different Coffee Bars that turn coffee from a drink into something a bit more snackable. Each bar’s label says that it “looks like chocolate [but] tastes like coffee,” probably due to the fact that they’re made with whole coffee beans to give you a bit of a caffeine boost.

The available nutrition facts suggest that each bar will feature about 26 milligrams of caffeine. They won’t pack a huge wallop given that your typical cup of coffee is usually north of 80 milligrams, but it’s better than nothing if you need a quick fix and don’t have ready access to any espresso.

These Coffee Bars come in four flavors, some of which might be familiar to anyone who’s tried the Dunkin’ Coffee Thins that served as a basis for this bigger, bolder bar. Specifically, they come in French Vanilla, Hazelnut, Caramel, and Original Blend. Given that you basically have to get a signed affidavit in order for Dunkin’ not to pump your coffee full of sugar, you can likely expect this candified take on coffee to be fairly sweet.

So if you’re tired of drinking coffee like a normal human and want to eat a weaker version of it instead, you can buy them from Dunkin’s Coffee Thins Website, where four bars sell for $5.49. Presumably, you’ll be able to pick one up at your local Dunkin’ at some point in the future. If you’d rather eat that than a doughnut, more power to you.
