    DIRECTIONS

  • Peel and cube potatoes.
  • Peel and slice carrots.
  • Dry sauerkraut with paper towels.
  • Boil carrots and potatoes til softened.
  • Chop onion and mince garlic.
  • Add peanut oil, butter, dried sauerkraut, chopped onions, minced garlic, and brats to 10.5" cast iron skillet and heat to medium heat. Add spices and cover.
  • Every 3-4 minutes turn over mixture with a spatula.
  • After about 8 minutes, add 4 pieces of butter, each about 1 tsp, to 4 corners of skillet. Turn browning mixture again.
