According to @CandyHunting (who gives credit to @MsBritt1474), the unofficial Instagram clearinghouse of all things cookie dough, this dough bakes cheesecake sugar cookies laden with “strawberry-flavored bits.” It’s technically the return of Pillsbury’s existing Strawberry Cheesecake Cookie Dough but in a new, safe-to-eat-raw formulation. No longer do you have to feel guilty for buying cookie dough without even the slightest intention of turning on your oven.

If you do want to actually bake these, however, the process couldn’t be easier. Each package yields 12 giant cookies (sort of like flat, crispy mini-cheesecakes), and all you really have to do is put them on a sprayed-down cookie sheet and toss them in the oven. As long as you follow the instructions and pay attention to what you’re doing, it shouldn’t take much work to get these made without burning down your kitchen.

While hoarding is discouraged, you may want to stock up on at least two packages of this cookie dough during your next responsible, socially-distanced shopping excursion, as they likely won’t be around forever. Heck, do a comparison to see what the cookie dough tastes like raw vs baked. I’m pretty sure that counts as doing science.
