This isn’t unique to JJ; in fact, other players, staffers, and reporters have been ordering wine through their own networks, wine delivery services, or vineyards, the mail room staff told ESPN. Take Portland Trail Blazers guard CJ McCollum, for example, who treats his entire room as a wine fridge of sorts. CJ keeps his room at 60 degrees when he’s in there and in the 50s when he’s out at games. That’s just to keep the 84 bottles of wine he has in his room at the correct temperature.
As for their favorites, many players drink bubbly or wine coolers during the day and sip on reds at night. It’s their way of unwinding after a long day of practicing or connecting with one another in the evening—from a distance, of course.
