The Keto diet is a popular weight loss programme which forces the body to burn fats rather than carbohydrates which puts the body into a state of ketosis. Ketosis is a state that your body must be in when following the diet and this helps dieters to lose weight quickly. There are certain foods that slimmers should eat when following the plan. 

A well balanced keto diet can have potent anti-inflammatory effects on the body including on the stomach area, thus causing slimmers to lose it.

Meat and poultry items are considered to be staple foods for those following the diet.

This is because they do not contain carbs and are high in fats.

Meat is also a great source of protein, an essential nutrient that slimmers must should into their daily diet. 

Organic and grass-fed meat may be healthier but any type of meat is considered keto friendly. Those foods include bacon, beef, lamb and pork.


Fish and seafood are considered to be extremely keto friendly due to their high fats and low carb content.

Your metabolic rate also increases by eating protein rich foods like fish.

Berries like raspberries and blackberries are some of the best fruits for the keto diet.

They can satisfy a sweet tooth craving as well as being loaded with antioxidants to help reduce inflammation. 

Fruit is also full of fibre, known to help slimmers stay fuller for longer and added to Greek yoghurt can create the perfect filling healthy breakfast option. 

Blueberries can also help to regulate fat burning and storage and help to reduce abdominal fat. 

However, blueberries should be consumed in small amounts because of their carbohydrate content.
