Daniee Brown is now a slim size 10, but this hasn’t always been the case. At her biggest she was a size 20, and extremely unhappy with her body, covering herself up with black, baggy clothes. She decided she needed to lose weight.

Having tried fad diets that gave her “short term results”, Daniee was eager to try a more “sustainable” weight loss method.

In 2017 she wore a size 16 and wanted to lose a stone ahead of her birthday.

In just two months, with a lot of dedication between April and June, Daniee managed to drop one stone and confidently wear a size 14 dress at her birthday party.

She told Express.co.uk: “I was absolutely over the moon.”

But her journey did not stop there; since her 30th birthday, Daniee has dropped a further two dress sizes and is now a size 10.

She stated: “When you lose the weight you can wear whatever you want. I can now wear clothes I never would have dreamed of wearing before.

“I can go into River Island and buy a pair of size 10 jeans.”

This was a huge achievement for Daniee, who admitted that shopping had once been an unpleasant and even painful experience.

“I spent many a time sitting crying in the changing room in my younger days.”

She even faced nasty comments about her weight and appearance at the hands of bullies.

Now she is flooded with compliments, will many telling Dainee that she has inspired them to lose weight too.

But how did she make this huge physical and mental shift?

Having “never” exercised before, Daniee credited her weight loss to a new-found appreciation of the gym.

She stated: “I just found this love for training.”

Bitten by the fitness bug, she found a personal trainer who she worked out with twice per week, and she also took part in exercise classes once a week in her own time.

“It’s just part of a daily routine for me now.”

Dainee also adapted her eating, seeking solace at a local Weight Watchers slimming club.

One of her main weight loss methods was to be more mindful of what she was consuming, swapping out pasta and bread for healthier choices.

She stated: “To lose the weight, I tried to cut down on carbs and I ate a lot of protein to complement the training I do.”

Being part of a group provided her with “fantastic support” on her weight loss journey.

The most difficult part of her journey was “walking into the gym for the first time”.

Now a personal trainer at the same gym she stepped into as a size 16, Dainee urged those struggling with their weight to give fitness a go: “If I can do it, anyone can.”

She now has 30 clients under her care and admitted that she “loves” full body exercises such as burpees.

Dainee concluded: “I’m a dress size now that I could have only dreamed of getting into.

“I’m a different person, I’m so confident.”
