Delicious and easy vegan fried side dish!


  1. 500 g button mushrooms
  2. 1 cup flour
  3. 1-1 1/2 cup water
  4. 3 tbsp chickpea flour
  5. 1 tsp salt
  6. (to taste) black pepper, cayenne pepper, Italian herbs, paprika
  7. (to taste) garlic powder, onion powder, cumin


  1. Chop mushrooms in thick slices

  2. In a bowl, combine flour, chickpea flour, salt, herbs and spices. Whisk in the water.

  3. Gently stir in mushrooms until completely covered.

  4. Fry until golden brown (flipping halfway through) in a wide pan. You can either laddle 1 mushroom at a time or more. Serve warm. Enjoy 🙂
