A delicious alternative to classic beanie weenies!

Ingredients

  1. Part one
  2. 1 pound hotdogs
  3. 1 large onion diced
  4. 1 large green bell pepper diced
  5. 29 ounce can of black beans separate 1 cup
  6. 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  7. 1 tablespoon molasses
  8. 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  9. To taste salt
  10. 1/2 cup water
  11. Part 2 for the one cup of separation
  12. 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  13. 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  14. To taste salt
  15. To taste ground black pepper
  16. Green bean and potato fried rice
  17. 1-1/2 cup cold cooked rice
  18. 15 ounce can green beans and potatoes
  19. 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
  20. 1/2 teaspoon granulated onion powder
  21. 1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic powder
  22. 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  23. To taste salt if needed
  24. 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  25. Optional

Steps

  1. Separate 1 cup of black beans, and set aside. Heat two tablespoons oil in a deep pot, add the diced onion and peppers. Add the spices. Sauté till onions are translucent. Slice the hotdogs into bite sized pieces.

  2. Add the one cup of black beans. Add the oregano. Fry the beans and smash them. Add to the onions and peppers and sauté for 15 minutes.

  3. Add the hotdogs.

  4. Heat two tablespoons of olive oil. Drain the green beans liquids and save the liquids. Add green beans and potatoes to the hot oil.

  5. Fry till lightly browned. Now add the rice and spices. Stir in well. Add half the green bean liquid. Cook till liquids are absorbed and brown the rice and potatoes slightly.

  6. Add all the beanie weenie ingredients together and incorporate well. Simmer for 30 minutes stirring often.

  7. Add fried rice to a plate.
