Adjust seasonings to personal liking, can be spicy if followed exactly.

Ingredients

  1. 1 can red kidney beans
  2. 1 can black beans
  3. 1 can pinto beans
  4. 1 can white beans
  5. 1 can diced tomatoes
  6. 1 can tomatoe sauce
  7. 1 can mexicorn
  8. 1 can mushrooms
  9. 1 red bell pepper diced
  10. 1 small white onion diced
  11. 1.5 lb. Ground lean turkey
  12. 1 lb beef kielbasa sliced
  13. 2 cups broth of choice
  14. 1/4 cup chili powder
  15. 1/4 tsp Cayenne pepper
  16. 1 tbs pepper
  17. 1 tbs salt
  18. 1 tbs creole seasoning
  19. 1 tbs slap ya mama seasoning
  20. 2 tsp garlic powder
  21. 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  22. 1/4 cup corn starch slurry

Steps

  1. Cook ground Turkey until done keeping it chunky, add to crock pot when done.

  2. Cut vegetables (bell pepper/onion) and add to crock pot.

  3. Cut and brown sausage in same pan as turkey, add to crockpot when done

  4. Add all canned ingredients to crockpot with 1 cup of broth, mix well.

  5. Add all seasonings, mix well.

  6. Cover crock pot with lid and set on high for 2 hours. Add remaining broth after 2 hours.

  7. Let simmer on high for an additional hour, stir. Then adjust temperature to low for an additional 2 hours.

  8. Add corn starch slurry to thicken chili. Use a little at a time. “Eyeball”

  9. Serve hot topped with cheese and Greek yogurt or sour cream and sliced green onions.
