#sambalkecap
Well, I am Indonesian. So I am always craving of Indonesian foods.
This time I am craving of Indonesian dipping sauce called “sambal kecap”.
Kecap in Indonesia is sweet soy sauce.
This dippingsauce is very delicious and versatile.
In my country, this sauce often serve alongside deep fried, grilled dishes, bbq, or even for satay to substitute or replaced the satay peanut sauce.
Very simple ingredients and easy to make.
Here is the recipe!
Ingredients
- 3 tbsp sweet soy sauce (you can get it in Asian store) less or more
- 2 shallots tiny slices
- 1 clove garlic (minced or tiny slices)
- 5-7 chopped birds chilies or Thai chilies
- 1/2 tbsp lemon juice (less or more)
Steps
In a small bowl add all the ingredients, add lemon juice, and mixed well.
Your spicy sweet soy dripping sauce is ready.
You can enjoy it along with deep fried, steamed tofu, or even you enjoy it with steamed rice. Enjoy ?
