Sugar covered strawberries. The reason I use the French name is because, my sister taught me this recipe and she always loved to use the French name.

Ingredients

  1. 4 strawberries
  2. 1 handful white sugar or a drizzle of maple syrup
  3. 1 glass water (with 12 ice cubes in it)

Steps

  1. Cut the tops of the strawberries

  2. Dip the tips and sugar and set the strawberries on that side

  3. Dip your pointer finger in the water (not a lot) and rub the water on the strawberry’s sides

  4. Roll the sides in sugar

  5. Place in a jar

  6. Shake for 5 minutes (non stop) by now it should have formed a light syrup

  7. Take the strawberries out and…

  8. Enjoy!

  9. Notes: when you are shaking the strawberries, shake roughly! This should help brake down the nasty outer layer on the strawberries. It will be good when purée starts appearing on the sides!
