Asda is the latest supermarket to recall a food product due to an undeclared ingredient.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) told Asda shoppers: “Asda is recalling Asda Classic Boneless Chicken Dinner Joint because it contains wheat (gluten) which is not mentioned on the label.

“This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with coeliac disease, and/or an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten.”

The FSA issued a risk statement for customers affected by the food recall.

The risk statement read: “This product contains wheat (gluten) making it a possible health risk for anyone with coeliac disease, and/or an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten.”
