August 25 is National Banana Split Day so it’s the perfect day to make this tasty pudding.
Banana Split could not be easier to whip up, containing just a few ingredients and taking only five minutes to concoct from start to finish.
BBC Good Food has shared a recipe for Speedy banana splits, giving the dessert a difficulty rating of “easy”.
This no-bake recipe serves four people but quantities can be amended depending on party size.

Ingredients
- Four bananas
- Four scoops vanilla ice cream
- Four tbsp chocolate sauce (English Provender Belgian is superb)
- Two tbsp flaked toasted almonds

Method
1. Peel the bananas and split them in half lengthways. Pop them on two plates and top with scoops of ice cream. Drizzle over the sauce and scatter with almonds. Enjoy!
