Gordon Ramsay has said he prioritises “getting delicious good on the table quick” and has shown how he makes easy yet incredibly delicious pancakes easily and in no time at all.

The chef has demonstrated how to make pancake batter as well as a sticky golden toffee sauce on his TikTok account.

To begin, Gordon says, start with the dry ingredients and mix 160 grams of plain flour into a bowl along with two tablespoons of sugar, two tablespoons of baking powder and one-and-a-half tablespoons of kosher salt.

It is now time for the wet ingredients, two eggs, which you will need to place in a separate bowl.

Separate the egg whites, because – as Gordon explains – it can make your pancake batter even richer, and whipping the whites of the egg can act as a natural leavening agent.

To do this is very easy. Separate the egg whites by cleanly cracking the egg in half and transferring the yolk from one eggshell to the other.

This will eventually separate them. Once done, begin whisking your egg whites in a different bowl until they are foamy.

Next, pour your egg yolk into your mixing bowl for wet ingredients.

Add 300 grams of buttermilk, 60g of vegetable oil, and one teaspoon of vanilla extract and mix all the wet ingredients together.

Combine both dry and wet ingredients. Stir them together until the pancake batter is smooth and a pale yellow colour.

Then, gently fold in your egg whites and mix that into the batter as well.

It is now time to make your toffee sauce. In a saucepan, boil 50 grams of sugar, 50 grams of unsalted butter and 85 grams of golden syrup until it becomes a dark caramel.

Next, mix 120 ml of whipping cream into the sauce and then pass it through a sieve.

Now you can cook. Add some butter to a non-stick frying pan and ladle in your pancake batter.

Cook on medium heat until you see bubbles on top of the mix for around five to six minutes.

Once cooked, flip and cook the other side for around two minutes.

Your pancakes and now ready to serve and pour the sweet and golden toffee sauce.

You can add whatever toppings you wish to your pancakes, such as chocolate chips, chopped walnuts or even banana slices.

However, Gordon Ramsay also has one other tip if you would like to add some more flavour to your pancakes, which is to top them with calvados apples for an even tastier breakfast.

In a video, the chef demonstrated how to make these apples. First, melt butter in a frying pan and then add sliced green apples to the pan.

Fry them and then pour in the calvados and let the flavours combine for a couple of minutes. Add in the vanilla paste, dark muscovado sugar, and double cream to the apple and mix it altogether.

You can now enjoy your pancakes made exactly how a professional chef makes them.
